One of the challenges of a beach resort in Negril or any beach vacation in Jamaica or the Caribbean for that matter are the beach vendors. The white sand beach at Negril especially at the Idle Awhile Resort is relatively untroubled, because the beach security guy who also helps with beach chairs makes sure you aren't hassled. It's a bit unfortunate that you can't really walk down the beach away from the resort without being hassled, but mostly a polite refusal doesn't offend, and you are then left alone. Just be pleasant, they are after all trying to make a living.

This is a great place for a family vacation getaway because of the proximity of Swept Away. If you are used to all inclusive holidays, you will enjoy being able to eat out in the many bars and restaurants without feeling you are paying extra. You will also like your closeness to the real Jamaica as you will mingle far more with local people. There is also no need to get up early to reserve sunbeds. The whole atmosphere is very laid back and you will have a great beach vacation at Idle Awhile Resort, which is a great price, with great staff in a great position on Negril Beach.
